Protocol Scope for HDMI 980

 Protocol Scope for HDMI

Brève
The 980 Protocol Scope is an analyzer for HDMI source devices. It captures and decodes HDPC-protected video data content such as data islands, infoframes, audio sample packets as well as DDC transactions including HDCP, EDID and CEC data. You can also generate the HEAC traffic as well for testing the HDMI 1.4 features Audio Return Channel (ARC) and HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC). You can capture and decode data with the 980 directly connected to a source or (optionally) while snooping between a source and a sink device ("pass-through") mode. The built-in 10.4 inch color touch screen provides a graphical user interface (GUI) to control the instrument and to view incoming video even when encrypted with HDCP. NEW! The 980 now enables you to view the HDMI metadata and DDC traffic in real time through the new Real Time monitoring mode.

Handshake Tester HT-180

 Handshake Tester

Brève
Introducing the latest video test instrument from Quantum Data for testing HDCP interoperability in HDMI systems. The HT-180 Handshake Tester for HDMI offered by Quantum Data enables users in R & D labs, service provider interoperability labs and field service techs to identify the root cause of HDCP, EDID and hot plug related interoperability problems in HDMI systems. The HT-180 provides HDMI ports for passive connection into an HDMI system comprised of a source (e.g. set top box or DVD), repeater (e.g. AVR controller) and an HDTV. A graphical utility is provided for users to enter information about the site and the equipment in the HDMI system under test. Tests are initiated with the press of a button. When the test is complete, the unit's LCD display presents simple reason codes with severity levels to identify suspect behavior of specific HDMI products in the system. During the test, the HT-180 monitors the HDCP, EDID and hot plug transactions over the I2C bus, analyzes the results and stores the transactions in a log file. The log files can be viewed with the Auxiliary Channel Analyzer on-site or later during post analysis of HDMI system problems

  • principales caractéristiques:
    • HDMI support. Tests HDMI source devices including support for deep color, x.v.Color and 3D.
    • Built-in touch screen display. Enables you to control the 980 directly through the 980 built-in color touch screen display. Also enables you to view incoming video--even when encrypted with HDCP--as a confidence check and for controlling the menus of source devices.
    • Real Time monitoring mode. NEW! View the HDMI metadata and DDC traffic in real time through the new Real Time monitoring mode.
    • Data Island Decoding. Decodes all data island types even when content is encrypted with HDCP. Data collected includes: General Control Packets, AVI and Audio Infoframes, Vendor Specific Data, Source Product Descriptor, Audio Clock Recovery, Audio Sample packets—including the decoding of the Channel Status Bits and the control bits.
    • DDC Data Decoding. Decodes all DDC transactions including EDID reads and HDCP authentication. You can view HDCP registers in human readable text and pinpoint failures in authentication. For example you can easily determine if authentication fails due to improper setting of an HDCP register value or if HDCP registers are read at the wrong time.
    • CEC Data Decoding. View the CEC messages for addressing, routing, one touch play, etc.
    • HEAC Traffic Generation and Monitoring. Generate and monitor the HEAC traffic for testing the HDMI 1.4 features Audio Return Channel (ARC) and HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC).
    • Triggering and Precapture Filtering. Set up triggers on data island packet values as well as timing and control events. Use precapture filtering to capture the specific data you need.
    • Filtering of Data Transactions. Check box filtering allows you to remove data types from view that you are not interested in. Filter out all data islands except audio sample packets and audio infoframes, for example, to compare the respective values for sampling rate.
    • Searching Through Data. Search through the captured data to locate the specific occurrence of the data and or events you are interested in.
    • Timing Analysis. Verify timing parameters from HDMI source devices including all horizontal and vertical parameters and pixel clock. The timing values are compared against a set of standard timings and any deviation is indicated.
    • Audio Analysis. Verify audio metadata and identify inconsistencies that could result in interoperability problems.
    • AVmute Test. Verify that your source has implemented AVmute properly.
    • Pixel Values. View the component color values for any pixel including deep color video.
